On Friday, January 13, Webster County High School Future Business Leaders of America went to Moultrie, Georgia for the Region Leadership Conference under the supervision of Mr. Michael Baker, FBLA Adviser. FBLA members compete in events at the Region Leadership Conference (RLC) each year in order to qualify for the State Leadership Conference (SLC), which this year will be held in Athens, GA. Webster County FBLA competes in Region 1, which is the southwest most region of the 13 regions in Georgia. The WCHS chapter of FBLA had four members compete in the events represented at the RLC. Each of the members had the honor of receiving a medal on stage during the award ceremony at the close of the conference. Thomas Price placed fourth out of 37 competitors in Personal Finance. Thomas qualifies for the State Leadership Conference for his event. Kimberly Williams placed fifth in Website Design. Sierra Albritton and Jy'kieria Williams were awarded fourth and fifth places respectively in Graphic Design. Webster County High School offers a very heart-felt congratulation to these young competitors and looks forward to them bringing home more awards at future conferences.
