Mr. Wilder’s Chemistry classes at Webster County High School were busy during the month of February learning about chemical reactions. Students had the opportunity to use chemical reactions to create propulsion. Using test tubes, yeast, peroxide, glucose solutions, and balloons the students measured each solution and monitored the test tubes for the chemical reaction. Ultimately one of their solutions created enough carbon dioxide as a result of the chemical reaction to blow up a balloon.
